Another Day, Another Pattern?
Hello readers, My name is Lindsay, I am 33 years old, I was diagnosed most currently in 2021, with Schizoaffective disorder Bipolar type as well as PTSD. I feel that both these diagnoses make sense to me right now, as yes, diagnoses can change, mental illness doesn't go away, it just evolves. Also, should probably note that I am a speaker for NAMI's In Our Own Voice Program, with one presentation done! I am looking forward to more of those. Also feeling good about going through training videos for ACCESS, to once again become a volunteer advocate, and help out in the Admin department. I have parents who love me and an older brother whom I love dearly. But yet with all these cool things going for me, I feel that I'm waiting for something to go wrong. Not because I want it to, but because that's been the past pattern for me. I'm starting starting to wonder If I'll ever be happy without the doom and gloom, so to speak, in the background.
